I have a very old house.
I just bought a new 220V welder.
The only 220 I have in my house is my electric clothes dryer.
My plan was this:
Run wire from the dryer outlet underneath my house to the outside in my back yard where I will install a brand new outdoor 220v outlet on the back of my house. With 110 I could have this done in about 30 minutes.
My problem arises when the welder only has two wires (b,w) and a ground, but the dryer has three wires (b,w,r) and a ground.
The plug and outlet I bought only take two wires and a ground, therefore I bought wire with two wires (b,w) and a ground.

Is there even a way to connect my 2 wires from my new wire to my old outlet with three wires? Or should I just go get more new wire, only get a 3 wire+G and a new outlet that holds three wires? Do they even MAKE a 220 outlet that uses three wires + ground?
